Give arrival paperwork its own place in your plan
When planning a move or a visit to explore living in Indonesia, keep arrival administration on your checklist alongside housing and the practicalities of settling in. All Indonesia combines immigration, customs, health and quarantine declarations. The national launch announcement made the declaration mandatory for passengers arriving from abroad from 1 October 2025. It also states that travellers can complete it from three days before arrival. Put that window in your calendar rather than leaving the task until you reach the airport.

Use current official information
All Indonesia remains part of the government’s digital immigration services: a ministry update published on 22 September 2026 reports its use through August. The official web address identified in the launch guidance is allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id. Use the government service or its official app when preparing your declaration, and review the instructions shown for your journey. This article organises the preparation; it does not replace the questions or requirements on the live form.

Gather the details before you begin
Official completion guidance asks travellers to enter identity information matching their passport, flight details, arrival date, purpose and address in Indonesia. Our practical recommendation is to have your passport, booking confirmation and accommodation details together before opening the form. Check names and passport numbers against the documents themselves. For a household move, organise each traveller’s documents clearly so that one person’s details are not accidentally copied into another person’s record.

Make the declaration accurate
The official guidance also covers health and recent travel information, quarantine items and customs declarations. Read each question carefully and answer for what you are actually bringing and your own circumstances. For a relocation involving shipped household goods, pets or unusual items, investigate the relevant procedures separately before arranging transport. A general arrival checklist cannot determine the treatment of a particular shipment or item. Keep unresolved questions in a short list so they can be checked before departure.

Keep the confirmation accessible
After submission, the official guidance says the system produces a QR code for presentation during arrival checks. Save the confirmation where you can find it easily. As a practical backup, keep an offline copy with your travel documents and make sure the device you intend to use is charged. Review your records if your travel details change. Treat the declaration confirmation as one part of your preparation; arrange a separate review of the visa and stay requirements relevant to your planned activities.

Bring the wider move into focus
A smooth arrival begins before the final travel checklist. Decide what you need to resolve about your intended length of stay, where you will live and any business activity you are considering. Share those priorities through Vivo Asia’s enquiry form to discuss the support you need. An initial enquiry can describe your plans in broad terms; keep passport copies and other sensitive documents for an agreed secure process.
